Production-car racing, otherwise known as "showroom stock" in US, is an economical and rule restricted version of touring-car racing, mainly used to restrict costs. Numerous production racing categories are based on particular makes of cars. One-make, or single marque, championships often employ production-based cars from a single manufacterer or even a single model from a manufacturer's range.
